Academy Levels​

A youth basketball player’s ability will be assessed through a skills test before placing them in a level and use the Jr. NBA Instructional Curriculum to develop the next level of basketball players:

  • Level I - Rookie

    • Tier I (T-shirt Color: White)

    • ​A this level, we introduce the fundamentals of the game, from shooting and defense to ball handling and teamwork.

  • Level II - Starter

    • Tier I (T-Shirt Color: Green)

    • We build on the love of the game in Level 2 by mastering the game's building blocks. This level dives deeper into essential skills like shooting, defense, ball handling, and teamwork. Players will get ready to conquer their first league matches by acing team dynamics and grasping the ins and outs of basketball.​

  • Level II - Starter

    • Tier II (T-Shirt Color: Blue)

    • Players will learn more advanced fundamentals and IQ. They will practice more age-appropriate advanced skills in shooting, defense, ball handling, and teamwork.

  • Level III – All-Stars

    • Tier I (T-Shirt Color: Yellow)

    • Mastering the fundamentals of basketball is a critical part of a player’s success at this age. This level covers beginning to intermediate shooting, ball handling, and defensive basketball skills in an individual and team format.​

  • Level III - All-Stars

    • Tier II (T-Shirt Color: Orange)​

    • This level is a high-energy training rotation that covers advanced shooting, ball handling, and defensive techniques in an individual and team format. Players will gain a competitive edge by honing on their individual basketball IQ through 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 games.

  • Level IV - Elite 

    • T-Shirt Color (Red) 

    • A​t the Elite Level, players will begin to gain strength, quickness and the ability to better react to game situations. Practices will shift towards team concepts and competition, while still heavily emphasizing skill development gained from the previous level.​

  • Level V - MVP

    • T-Shirt Color: (Black)​​
    • At the MVP Level, players will begin competing more frequently in order to apply and refine the skills they have developed along all previous levels. Players will also begin to specialize and fit into more specific roles and positions. Team tactics and game strategy will also be further implemented in the MVP Level.

Our Youth Basketball Academy is the ideal place for young athletes to develop their skills and have fun. We provide a safe and competitive environment for all youth to take part in.
 

Our coaches are experienced and knowledgeable in basketball, and they strive to create a positive atmosphere for learning and growth. We focus on teaching the fundamentals of the sport, as well as the importance of teamwork and sportsmanship.
 

Our players will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to compete at the highest levels of basketball. We ensure that all our players have a fun and enjoyable experience while learning the fundamentals of the game.
